The agricultural company Montenibbio is a beautiful estate situated in a scenic, hilltop location surrounded by nature, just above the Castello della Sala. From its olive groves, you can see the city of Orvieto directly opposite—rising from its tuff cliff—as well as Mount Amiata and Mount Cetona. It is located just a few kilometers from the historic center of Ficulle.
Founded in 2018, the estate covers approximately 23 hectares of olive groves, consisting of 30-year-old trees, newly planted olive trees, and a stunning, century-old olive garden that is still productive.
The olive varieties cultivated here include: Leccino, Coratina, Moraiolo, Frantoio, Borgiona, Don Carlo, Itrana, and Diana.
The estate produces two labels of extra virgin olive oil: Domus 10 and Blasius. Another flagship feature of the company is its honey production.
At the center of the hill sits an ancient farmhouse that will soon become a farm holiday stay (agriturismo) and an oil mill.
In 2021, the company began the process to obtain organic certification for its olives through the Bioagricert agency, a process completed in 2024.
